The same sturdy, reliable, rugged, and easy to install, all 304 stainless steel single flue chimney cap with a damper built in. Comes with 32 feet of stainless steel cable, 3 feet of stainless steel cable guard to protect the cable at the flue offset, 10.5 oz. tube of RTV clear 100% silicone. Huge heat loss occurs when a chimney damper doesn't seal properly or is missing or broken. A new top-sealing damper will normally pay for itself the first year from the savings on the heating bill alone. Springs are inside the cap lid and protected from the heat by the damper plate. There are two springs as a safety precaution, the damper will still open even if one of the springs is broken! Damper plate closes against silicone gasket for an air tight seal. You can still service the chimney from the top with this damper! All you do is take the lid off.
